Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah – said:
It is reported from Abu Sa’id Al-khudri radiyallaahu anhu- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“The everlasting good deeds are: the saying of: “Laailaha illallaahu, Wasubuhaanallaah wallaahu akbar walhamdulillaahi walaa awla walaquwwata illabillaahi “
Transmitted and recorded by Imaam An-Nasaa’i in his “Sunan”#840. Ibn Hibbaan declared it as Sahih while Shaykh Al-Albaani graded it as Da’if in “Da’ifu Al-Jaami'”#828.
COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It indicates the importance of zikr.
♦ It encourages making of zikr of Allah.
♦ It discourages heedlessness.
