Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah – said:
It is reported from Samurah Ibn Jundub radiyallaahu anhu- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“The most beloved words to Allah are four; and does not matter which one you say first.
“Subuhaanallaah walhamdulillaahi ,WaLaailaha illallaahu, wallaahu akbar.”
Transmitted and recorded by Imaam Muslim in his “Sahih”#2137.
COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It encourages making zikr of Allah.
♦ It shows that the four words must not be said serially but to say it in the way it was reported in the hadith is better as explained by scholars.
♦ It indicates that the dearest words to Allah are:
Subuhaanallaah walhamdulillaahi ,WaLaailaha illallaahu, wallaahu akbar.“
Allaahu A’alam!
Baarakallaahu feekum!
