Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah said:
It is reported from Ibn Masu’d radiyallaahu anhu- who said The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“Verily, the nearest people to Me on the Day of Resurrection are those who invoke many blessings on Me.”
Transmitted and recorded by Imaam At-Tirmidhi in his “Sunan”#484. Shaykh Al-Albaani declared it as Dai’f (weak) in “Dai’fu Al-Jaami”’#1821.
COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It indicates the importance of invoking blessings on the Messenger Salallaahu alayhi wasallam.
♦ It shows that the nearest people to the Messenger Salallaahu alayhi wasallam on the Day of Resurrection are those who invoke many blessings on Him.
♦ It illustrates that one should hasten to invoke many blessings on the Messenger Salallaahu alayhi wasallam.
