DAILY POST #20

Once, the Companion Hudhayfa bn Al-Yamaan – radiyallaahu anhu – heard a man saying:

“O Allah, destroy the Munaafiqin”

so he – Hudhayfah – said:

“O son of my brother! Had all of the Munaafiqun been destroyed, then you will be so few that the fewness of passersby will make you lonely on your streets…”
 (Ref: Madaariju As-Salikeen 1/358)

This is an explicit reference to the manyness of the Munaafiquun and the fewness of sincere believers in his time  i.e. the generation that followed the Companions of the Rasul salallaahu alayhi wasallam – what then can we say about this time of ours where the believers are the fewest?

May Allaah make us among the sincere believers, aameen!
