Imām Ibn Qudāmah -rahimahullāh-
Said:
But whoever dies in a state of doubt regarding Allāh Subhānahu wata’āla or Indulging in sins, he shall meet Allāh in a state of fear and a slave who deserves punishment.
Whoever wants a peaceful way and salvation, then should protect himself from destructive path putting in mind that heart alternates based on situations.
In this context, it was reported in “Sahīhayn” from the Hadīth of Sahl Ibn Sa’d, that the Rasūl Salallāhu alayhi wasallam said:
إن الرجل ليعمل بعمل أهل النار، وإنه لمن أهل الجنة، وإن الرجل ليعمل بعمل أهل الجنة وإنه من أهل النار
Verily, a Person performs deeds like the deeds of the people of Jannah apparently before people and he would be amongst the dwellers of Hell and a person acts apparently like the people of Hell, but (in fact) he would be amongst the dwellers of Jannah.
Al-Bukhārī#6607, and Muslim (112).
And it was reported that:
When the soul of a servant is raised to the Heaven after death, the angels will say: Subhānahu! This servant has escaped the trapped of shaitān, How has he managed to escape?
Knowing the implication of bad ending in one’s life, then one need to be careful of its causes, and one should prepare for their remedies, and beware of procrastination regarding the preparation, for life is so short, for one may pass away after a breath and one nature of death depends on one’s way of life, and one shall surely be resurrected upon those deeds either good or bad.
However, it is not easy for one to prepare for those things leading to good ending in one’s life, except the one who’s satisfied with the little and never busy with luxuries. In shā Allāh, we will mention some of the Qisas of the prophets and the devout worshipper that one may emulate them in that regard for they are the best in terms of intellect, fear of Allāh.
16th Shawwal, 1440H.
