(Desirability of completing the night prayer with the Imam in Ramadan)
عن ﺍﺑﻲ ﺫﺭ رضي الله عنه ﺍﻥ ﺍﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎﻝ : ﻣﻦ ﻗﺎﻡ ﻣﻊ ﺍﻻﻣﺎﻡ ﺣﺘﻰ ﻳﻨﺼﺮﻑ ﻛﺘﺐ ﻟﻪ ﻗﻴﺎﻡ ﻟﻴﻠﺔ . ﺭﻭﺍﻩ ﺍﺑﻮ ﺩﺍﻭﺩ ﻭﻏﻴﺮﻩ .
On the authority of Abu Dharr who said that the prophet- sallalaahu alayhi wa sallam- said: “Whoever stands (and prays) with the Imam until he finishes, it will be recorded as if he spent the entire night in prayer.”
Narrated by Abu-Dawud and Others.
LESSONS FROM THE HADITH
1. The recommendation of night prayer especially in this blessed month of Ramadan.
2. The desirability of praying it in congregation in Ramadan.
3. This reward (equivalent to spending the whole night in prayer) is not attained by anyone except the one who stands with the Imam for the whole prayer, until he completes it.
May Allah grant us His forgiveness in this blessed month, Aameen.
