_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*DIVORCE AND RELATED MATTERS.*
Know verily that, divorce is the most detestable act in the side of Allah Azzawajal. Although, it is permissible by the sharia. Thus, it is highly disliked for a husband to divorce his wife without any tangible reason. And also, it is forbidden for a woman to ask for divorce without sensible reason.
However, if it happens that a husband wants to divorce his wife, then he should consider the following four things:
1. He should divorce her when she is in a state of purity and there was no sexual relationship between them.
2. He should restrict himself to one divorce first in case he may wish to bring her back.
3. He should make things easy for her by giving her some amount of money after divorce.
4. He should not expose her secret. For the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu alayhi wasallam was reported to have said:
_”إن من أشر الناس عند الله منزلة يوم القيامة الرجل يفضي إلى المرأة وتفضي إليه، ثم ينشر سرها”_
_”Verily, the worst person in the side of Allah on the Day of Resurrection is the person who goes to his wife and she comes to him, and then he exposes her secret. “_
