Imām Ibn Qudāmah -rahimahullāh-
Said:
Fear of Our Beloved Prophet Salallāhu ‘Alayhi wassalam.
From our beloved Mother ‘Āisha Radiyallāhu anha who said:
“I have never saw the Messenger of Allāh Salallāhu ‘alayhi wassalam laughing loudly to enable me to see his uvula, rather, he only used to smile. And whenever he saw cloud and winds,sign of deep concern would be seen on his face, then I said: Oh The Messenger of Allāh: whenever people see cloud they normally feel happy hoping that it would rain, but I see that when you see cloud, one could see signs of dissatisfaction on your face! He said: ” Oh ‘Āisha, what is the guarantee for me that there will be no punishment in it? For indeed some people were destroyed with a wind, and indeed some people saw the punishment thinking it was rain saying: ” This cloud will give us rain”.
Transmitted by Imām Al-Bukhārī(4828, 8429), and Imām Muslim(899).
And also it was reported from ‘Abdullāhi Ibn Ash-Shakhīr who said:
“whenever the Prophet Salallāhu ‘alayhi wassalam performed the Prayers, he growled like a boiler.”
Transmitted by Abū Dāwūd(904). Shaykh Al-Albānī declared it as Sahīh.
