_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*2*. For the Haram and Halal to mix up with each other to the extent that one cannot differentiate Haram from Halal. Examples of these are as follows:
*A*. Doubting about a dead animal with a slaughtered one. In this case, both are Haram for consumption because one is not certain about which one is the slaughtered one or dead one.
*B*. Doubting about something that is limited unlawful with a another thing which is unlimited lawful. For example, knowing that the wealth of the masses globally mixes up with Haram one way or the other. In this case, the Haram in the money which is limited cannot stop one from transaction which is unlimited.
*3*. Doubting something which is unlimited unlawful with that which is unlimited lawful. The example of this is like getting money from a tyrant ruler. Perhaps there is no any sign to show that the money is Haram in itself. It is still better and preferred not to collect the money from him due to piety. But the money cannot be considered as Haram in itself. Likewise, it is known that during the time of the Messenger sallallaahu alayhi wasallam that illegal properties like money from riba, wine etc mixes up with the lawful ones, but people were not stopped from transaction.
