_Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullāh-_
Said:
Know verily that, people differs regarding their level of anger. Thus, they can be classified into three stages: excessiveness, laxity and moderation.
There is no praiseworthy in excessiveness, for it takes away the intellect and the deen from its balanced point and one will not be able to think nor have ability to make a good choice nor make a good thought and it also blocks the heart from accepting the truth.
Likewise, complete absence of anger in a person is also blameworthy, for he won’t be able to defend his honor nor protect himself from harm.
Hence, what is needed and beloved is moderate and balancing between laxity and excessiveness in anger.
