_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*LEVELS OF DISOBEDIENCE OF ALLĀH.*
*3*. A sinner with his deed not creedal one.
If his sin harms others such as oppression, anger, false testimony, backbiting etc, the best in this case, is to shun away from him and one should not relate with him.
This ruling also applies to the people who propagate and commit bad acts such as mixing of men and women in the same place and selling alcohol in the society.
As for the one whom his sin is only restricted to himself such as drinking of beer, zinah, stealing, or leaving the obligatory parts of the deen, his affairs is less because he only harms himself. But if he was caught perpetuating the act, it is wājib he should be prevented from such an act.
If he is someone that can take admonishment, then he should be advised otherwise he should be disregarded.
