_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*LEVELS OF HALAL AND HARAM.*
Know verily that, all the Halal things are pure and good. However, the levels of goodness in things differs.
Likewise, all unlawful things are bad but some are worse than others.
For instance, getting profits from an invalid business is haram. But the sin is not as worse as forcibly taking something from others through harming or killing.
The same applies to confiscating the wealth of the poor, an orphan or a righteous person. For it is worse than taking the wealth of a rich person or that of a faasiq.
