_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*During Eating*.
When eating, one is highly recommended to carryout the following Adaab:
1. One should start eating with the Name of Allah and finish it up with praising Him.
2. One should eat with his right hand, take small morsels and chew them very properly.
3. One should never takes a second morsel till he swallows and chews the first one completely.
4. One should not express his dislike to any sort of food and he should eat from what is in the plate close to him, except when the food is of varieties food such as fruits.
5. One should eat with three fingers.
6. If a morsel drops, one should pick it up, clean it and eat the morsel.
7. One should not breath into a hot food.
8. One should not drinks while eating at the same time.
9. Also, one should hold the drinking cup with his right hand, look into it before drinking, and then drinks in small sips.
10. It is disliked for one to drinks while standing.
11. Lastly, one is recommended to breathe thrice while drinking but not into the water.
In this context, it is transmitted in the Sahihayn (Al Bukhaari # *5631*and Muslim# *2028*) that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu alayhi wasallam used to take breath three times when drinking.
