Imām Abū ‘Abdullah Muhammad bn Abī Bakr bn Ayyub Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah
said:
Therefore, the perfection of man and his prosperity can’t be complete except with all these things. Thus, Suratu fatihah has mentioned them and arranged them perfectly.
The verses:
الحمد لله رب العالمين، الرحمن الرحيم، مالك يوم الدين.
Which means, All praise are due to Allāh, the Lord of the ( mankind, jinn and all that exists). The most gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Recompense.
These Quranic verses contain the first principle, and that is to have knowledge of Allāh Ta’ala and to have knowledge of His Beautiful Names. Attributes and Deeds. The mentioned Names in this sūrah are the bases of the Beautiful Names of Allāh Ta’ala, namely: Allāh, Ar-Rabb and Ar-Rahman.
The Name “Allāh” belongs to the Divine Attributes, and the Name Ar-Rabb belongs to His attributes of Lordship and Name Ar-Rahman belongs to the qualities of kindness and generosity. The meanings of His name’s revolve around this content.
Allāhu A’alām.
Bārakallāhu fīkum.
Jazākumullahu Khayran.
