*QUESTION*
*IS WHAT IS KNOWN AS HALUWA SANCTIONED IN ISLĀM?*
_”Asalaam Alaikum my dear brothers and sisters in did group i must say that I am highly honoured to be part of dis group. May Allah bless d ppl that came up at this great idea and grant them at janat Fridaus ameen and give their mistake ,pls I need and to these questions what is the stand of Islam on Haluwa that is speculation of somebody in a room for , or days for ibadah?…”_

*ANSWER*
Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh
May Allāh accept your Du’ā, and may He make your being here a bounty for us and to you. Amīn
Alhamdulillāh
What you have described is very similar to what is known as I’itikāf in the Sharī’ah, and it is permissible by the consensus of the Ulamā in and outside Ramadān due to the generality of the Statement of Allāh – Ta’ālā
(وَلا تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ)
_”And do not have relations with them (your wives) while you are making I’itikāf in the Masjid”_
And His Statement :
أَنْ طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ

_”That you should both purify My House for the People of Tawāf, those on I’itikāf and those Worshipping (Allāh) in Rukū’ and Sujūd”_
And it is recorded in Sahih Al-Bukhārī that the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – observed the I’itikāf in the month of Shawwāl
As for the place of I’itikāf, then the Ulamā are at a consensus, as mentioned by Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisī – rahimahullāh – in Al-Mughnī that it is not permissible for a man to do it in other than the Masjid
This is because in the Verse mentioned above, Allāh restricted it’s observance to the Masjid when He said
_”And do not have relations with them (your wives) while you are making I’itikāf in the Masjid”_
As for a woman performing the I’itikāf in other than the Masjid, for instance in her house, then the majority hold that, hers is like that of the man too, not permissible for her to observe it in other than the Masjid, and for the same purpose
Though, there exist a minority position among the Ulamā that allowed the I’itikāf of women in their homes
Imām An-Nawawī – rahimahullāh – said
_”It is not Permissible for a man or a woman to observe the I’itikāf in other than the Masjid, and it is not Permissible to observe it in the Place marked out for Salāt at the house of a man or a woman..”_
Reference _Al-Majmū’ Shar’hu Al-Muhadhdhab_
The Hanafis premised the Masjid in which the I’itikāf must be performed to a Masjid where the five compulsory Salāt are offered in congregation, that the one doing the I’itikāf does not miss out on it. This was mentioned by Ibn Al-Humām in _Fat’hu Al-Qadīr_
The Malikis insisted that if there is a Jumu’a in one of the Days he will be in the I’itikāf, then he must observe it in a Masjid where Jumu’a is observed
Ad-Dasūqī – rahimahullāh – mentioned this in his _Hāshiyah_ on _Ash-Sharhu Al-Kabīr_
But the Shāfi’ī s allow the permissibility of the I’itikāf in any Masjid. This was alluded to by An-Nawawī in Al-Majmū’
What is strongest of these positions is that held by the Mālikiyyah, that if the days of the I’itikāf would consist a Jumu’a, then it must be observed in one where Jumu’a is observed
Therefore, if what you’re describing is an observance in the Masjid, and it is free of any innovations, and what is done in it is nothing other than Salāt, Adhkār, Fasting, recitation of the Qur’ān and other forms of Ibādah that have been sanctioned, then it will be deemed permissible, and Allāh knows best

*QUESTION*
*IS INCARNATION POSSIBLE IN ACCORDANCE TO ISLĀM?*
_”Asalaam Alaikum my dear brothers and sisters… Is there anything like reincarnation in Islam?Jazakumlah kairu”_
*ANSWER*
Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh
Alhamdulillāh
If what is meant by reincarnation is the rebirth of a dead soul in the body of a new born, this does not conform with the Teachings of Islām and it is not possible in accordance with what Allāh has destined and ordained.
Every soul must taste Death, the trials of the Grave and then the Standing on the Day of Qiyāmah
It should be known that reincarnation is a very false belief and whosoever believes in that after having known what Allāh said about life after death is not a Muslim
We ask Allāh for Guidance and Tawfīq, amīn

*QUESTION*
*CAN THE QUR’ĀN BE TOUCHED BY NON-MUSLIMS?*
_”Assalamu alaikum Admin. My question is “Can non Muslims touch the Quran?”_

_Because in the story I learnt about ‘Umar (RADIYALLAAHU ANHU) when he hadn’t accepted Islam, he was asked to wash himself before touching the Quran by his sister. How authentic is this narration?”_
*ANSWER*
Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh
Alhamdulillāh
Know, may Allāh be merciful to us and to you, that it is not permissible for the Kāfir to hold or touch the Qur’ān.
This has been established by majority of the Ulamā from the different Madhāhib

Imām An-Nawawī – rahimahullāh – said in Al-Majmū’
_”The Kāfir is not prevented from hearing the Qur’ān but he is forbidden from touching the Mus’haf”_
Ar-Ramlī said in _Nihāyatu Al-Muhtāj_
_”A Kāfir is prevented from placing his hands on the Mus’haf even if it’s for the purpose of binding it. This is what was mentioned by Ibn ‘Abdissalam. Even if with that it is hoped that he becomes Muslim.”_
Summarily, the Mālikis, the Shāfi’īs, and the Hanbalis hold that it is Harām to allow a Kāfir get hold of the Mus’haf
Their reasons for this is the Hadith recorded in Sahih Al-Bukhārī that the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – forbade that the Mus’haf be taken to Jihād so as to prevent the Kuffar laying their hands on it
And, the Hadith in which the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – said
وأن لا يمس القرآن إلا طاهر
_”And that the Qur’ān be not touched except by the one who is Pure”_
Which was his writing to the People of Yemen as was recorded by Mālik in the Muwattā, Ibn Hibbān and Al-Bayhaqī
Thus the Ulamā considered it wrong for the Muslim who is impure to touch the Mus’haf and on more greater respect, the Kāfir
Abū Yūsuf, from the Hanafi School concurs with the positions of the aforementioned Schools, while his Colleague Muhammad bn Al-Hasan Ash-Shaybānī held that it were permissible for a Kāfir to hold it provided he observed the Ghusl
He mentioned this premising it on the fact that the purpose of the forbiddance was impurity and that in Ghusl is the taking away of the impurity
And what is sound of this difference is that the Kāfir must not be allowed to have the Qur’ān in his hands as much as possible whether he takes a bath (Ghusl) or not due to the generality of the presentation that has preceded
And in the Story of the Islām of Umar bn Al-Khattāb is no proof for those that seek to use it as such for the following reasons
. This happened in the early days of Islām before the Hijrah, and before the command of the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – that the Qur’ān be not touched but by the one who is Pure, as was referred in the writing of the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – to the People of Yemen recorded by Imām Mālik
. This Story referred to a portion of a Surah of the Qur’ān, not the entirety of the Qur’ān
And Allāh knows best

*FURTHER ELUCIDATIONS ON THE QUESTION ON KHALWAH*
Before we depart this matter, we need to emphasize that what is known to Sufi Sects as KHALWAH is completely impermissible and an innovation in the Dīn
It is known that some of the Sufis do this by going into the wilderness for days and months. Most especially forty days.
This is an innovation that holds no proof in the Dīn and must be avoided
The only form of KHALWAH (Seclusion) licensed by the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – is the observation of I’itikāf in the Masjid and in the doing of the Ibādāt that have been sanctioned by Allāh Ta’ālā
Our advice do not fall a victim of such Sufi calls and tendencies that ask people to do things that were not sanctioned by Allāh or His Messenger.
Do only things that have prove in the Qur’ān and the Sunnah, and which have been understood by the Predecessors to be right
We ask Allāh for Guidance and Tawfīq
Bārakallāhu Fīkum
Jazakumullāhu Khayran
We shall stop here for the week
سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أستغفرك وأتوب إليك
