Imām Abūl ‘Abbās Ahmad bn ‘Abdul-Halīm bn Taymiyah – Rahimahullāhu
said:
وأقول : قال الله – جل جلاله-
والمصطفى الهادي ولا أتأول
I will say(in my words): Allāh Jalla Jalāluhu Says.
And Mustapha( the Rasūl Salallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam) without any Ta’wīlat(metaphoric interpretation).
SHAR’H.
Meaning, I believe in what Allāh says and that which was reported from His Rasūl Salallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam regarding the names, attributes of Allāh Ta’āla or His actions without any metaphoric interpretation based on desires and whims.
Hence, one is encouraged to stick to the words of Allāh Ta’āla and His Rasūl Salallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam and its interpretation in accordance to the understanding of the pious Salaf.
Allāhu A’alām.
Bārakallāhu fīkum.
Jazākumullahu Khayran.
