_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
Regarding the braveness of the Messenger of Allāh sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam, ‘Aliyy radiyallāhu anhu was reported to have said:
_When the war become severe and we met and faced the enemy, we used to shield ourselves behind the Messenger of Allah sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam and there is no one who was closer to the enemy than he was.”_
Transmitted and recorded by Imām Ahmad and Imām An-nasāī.
It is reported from Rabīa’ Ibn Abī `Abdur-Rahmān who said: I heard Anas Ibn Mālik describing the Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam saying:
_”He was of medium height amongst the people, neither tall nor short; he had a rosy color, neither absolutely white nor deep brown; his hair was neither completely curly nor quite lank. Inspiration was revealed to him when he was forty years old. He stayed in Mecca for ten years receiving the Divine Inspiration, and stayed in Medina for ten more years. And there is no White hairs on his head and beard.”_
Rabīa’ said: “I saw some of his hairs and it was red. I then asked about that, I was told that it turned red because of scent.
