The Sunnah of the Rasūl -Salallāhu Alayhi Wa Sallam during the Last Ten Days of Ramadān
"Daily Post #218"
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
(Hadith on the sunnah of the prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam during the last ten night of Ramadan)
“عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: كان النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- إذا دخل العشر شد مئزره وأحيا ليلة وأيقظ أهله”
رواه البخاري
On the authority of Aaisha- radiyaAllahu anha- who said “whenever the last ten (days of Ramadan) starts, the prophet – sallallaahu alayhi wasallam- used to tighten his waist-belt, stands all through the night (in prayer) and keeps his family awake”
Al-Bukhari.
LESSONS FROM THE HADITH
1. One should strive hard to reach his peak in Ibaadah during the last ten days of Ramadan especially standing it’s nights in prayer.
2. A believer should strive to wake others especially his close ones.
3. It is desirable to go for I’tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan.
4. Standing every night of the last ten days will make one to easily earn the bounty of laylatul qadr. (an act of worship in this night (of laylatul qadr) is better than worshipping for one thousand months).
May Allah strengthen us for Ibaadah and grant us the bounties of this majestic night, Aameen.
