_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*THE VIRTUES OF SECLUSION.*
*4.* It assists one in safeguarding himself from his enemies and the evils of people. For when one Is mingling with others, they might harm him by backbiting, slandering, accusations and suspicions. And whosoever relates with people, will certainly have an enemy.
In this regard, Úmar radiyallāhu anhu was reported to have said:
_”في العزلة راحة من خلطاء السوء.”_
_”In seclusion, one is secured from mingling with evils. “_
*5.* seclusion helps in sincerity and devotion to Allāh alone. For pleasing all the creations is something that cannot be accomplished. Thus, in seclusion, one is safeguarded from trying to please others or showoff.
*6.*It serves as fortress from mingling with foolish people who lacks manners and deep thinking.
*8th Safar, 1438H.*
