Visiting People While They Eat is Makruh (Discouraged)

📬 DAILY POST#265

_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:

*Visiting people while they eat is Makruh (discouraged) if you have knowledge of that.*

Know verily that, it is disliked to approach some people while knowing that they are eating.

However, if one approaches them unintentionally and they invite him for food, then in that case, one should check deeply. If one noticed that they invited him out of shyness, one should not eat.

And if one realized that they did that out of love and eagerness to share food with him, then one should proceed and eat with them.

Furthermore, when one visits a friend and one could not meet him at home and food is offered to one by his friend families, it is permissible for one to eat if one is assured that his friend will be glad and happy when one eats of his food.
