The Predecessors tell us that everywhere in the Qur’ān where we see the word ‘Ibādah, it refers to singling Allāh in ‘Ibādah.
Any why not? While He created everything Alone. Who shares in the Creation, design, administration and Decision making?
But one can perform Ibādah in one or more of three forms:
1. Physical worship as is seen in bowing and prostrating
2. Unrestricted Obedience as is seen in obeying a constituted authority without question
3. Unrestricted following of a system, path or way of life
Is it right for man, knowing that Allāh created him and all that exists, to give any of these three to other than Allāh?
To do that is to rebel against Allāh…
