The Pleasure of Allah #3
Allāh has mentioned in the Qur’ān that His pleasure is the greatest of all things that a Servant can crave for. Its a bounty that transcends all things that a person can imagine. For whenever Allāh is pleased with a soul, His pleasure remains long after he is gone till this life ends.
Allāh said:
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ۚ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
“Indeed Allāh has promised the Believers men and women the Gardens beneath which streams flow, they shall abode in there forever, and excellent houses in Jannātu ‘Adin . And the Pleasure of Allāh is greatest. Indeed this is the Great Success”
But the Pleasure of Allāh is not earned by word of mouth. It is a tireless effort by the Sincere believer in whose dedication he spends his day and night, his time and thought.
Allāh gave us the attributes and deeds that fetch the believer His Pleasure in the verse that preceded this verse when He said:
وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم()🌾
“The Believers men and women are Friends and Protectors (Awliyā) of one another. They command to Ma’arūf and forbid from Munkar, they establish the Salāt and institute the Zakāt, and they obey Allah and His Messenger. These ones, Allah will be merciful upon them. Allah is indeed Exalted, Wise.”
