Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah – said:
It is reported from Mua’dh Ibn Jabal radiyallaahu anhu- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“The son of Adam does not do any good deed that can rescue him from the punishment of Allah better than the zikr of Allah.”
Transmitted and recorded by Imaam At-Tabaraani in “Al-Kabir”#352. Shaykh Al-Albaani declared it as Sahih in Sahihu Al-Jami’#5644.
COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It shows the importance of remembering Allah.
♦ It shows that the zikr of Allah can rescue one from the wrath of Allah in this dunya and Hereafter.
♦ It indicates that Allah love the Azzaakirin ( those that always remember Allah).
